A must have for the beginner to serious observer. Great detail and lots of good information. Great for the field. I keep mine on the wall of the scope house.

This is an excellent map, great detail without being over the top, I love the way it folds and that it has heavy duty laminate. The only down side for me is it is a little too large to fit in my astronomy bag. If it was about 1/2" shorter on the sides it would be perfect. Of course your bag may be bigger than mine!

This is the best value and coated field map for outside use. It makes a great gift for young and old. Remember that at star parties the most requested object is the moon. Get this map to answer all of the questions.
Favorite viewing location:??Boulder, Colorado at the Foothills of the Rocky Mountains.
Favorite object to observe:??The Moon.
Pros: coated, folds out, landing zones marked, great for outdoors use.

The moon is one of my favorite items to view. However, I've always been annoyed that I didn't know the names of the lunar features. Now I know! I was ecstatic to see the Apollo sites listed on the map. I'd recommend this map even if you don't own a telescope.
