This useful and affordable blue Orion Jupiter Observation filter for 1.25” telescope eyepieces will significantly increase contrast of the main cloud belts of Jupiter.

Other than the Moon, the gas giant planet Jupiter shows more detail than any other object in the night sky. This handy 80A Medium Blue filter will let you make the most out of each view of gigantic Jupiter. Attach the Jupiter Observation Filter to any filter-thread equipped 1.25” telescope eyepiece to enjoy enhanced views of Jovian cloud details. Since Jupiter is such a bright object in the night sky, using this filter will help preserve your dark-adapted night vision thanks to its 30% transmission. Not only will the filter help to reduce the overwhelmingly bright disc of Jupiter, but it will also increase your ability to discern visible features. When used in telescopes with substantial focal length, the Jupiter Observation Filter can significantly improve views of the famous Great Red Spot storm region by enhancing contrast of the storm against surrounding Jovian cloudscape features.

Get the Jupiter Observation Filter today and discover how affordable great views of Jupiter can be!

I have the Skyscanner and have enjoyed the disc of Jupiter very much the last few nights but no bands in sight. Tonight, just flipping through some literature I had not yet read I came across a tidbit suggesting the blue filter helps resolve the bands of Jupiter. I remembered when I first bought my scope that I also bought the Planetary and Lunar explorer kit (Item # 27148). I use the barlow often, but never the filters. So I was intrigued that I have just the filter mentioned. I cooled down my scope for about 30 minutes, dialed in Jupiter and my jaw dropped. That was the most planet-looking I have ever seen it look. I am just barely beyond being a complete noob, but I am extremely happy with this filter.
Favorite viewing location:??Backyard most often; but my father's property is much darker.

This is one of the lowest priced filters so I figured for the money why not give it a shot. I personally did not notice much of a difference in detail looking at Jupiter through this filter than looking without it other than a slight glare reduction. The lines of clouds and the red spot did not look noticeably different to me.
