The Crayford-style focuser has long been a mainstay of both visual observing and astrophotography. So, the new version that easily drops in and replaces the standard focuser of any 8" to 12" Orion reflector had better be good - and it is!

This high-end replacement offers the most focus range for accessories requiring extra in-travel, such as cameras. An extendable drawtube provides a generous 68mm of focus travel. It has a very low profile, with the minimum focus position only 62mm from the telescope tube.

Observers and astrophotographers will appreciate the fine-focus knob on the right side, with an 11:1 ratio. This new focuser accepts both 2" and 1.25" eyepieces and has a brass compression ring to secure 2" eyepieces and accessories.

Astrophotographers will love the smooth motion and fine-focus knobs that allow precision adjustments for critical focusing of eyepieces and cameras that completely eliminate image shift through the entire focusing range. The machined metal knobs have a quality feel, and the strong aluminum construction supports heavy 2" eyepieces and cameras.

Focus position is locked down with a thumbscrew. It's internally blackened to improve contrast and reduce glare.

The improved 2" Dual-Speed Crayford focuser is a definite upgrade for Orion's 8-inch, 10-inch, and 12-inch reflector telescopes.
