Use this handy capture device to record and save full-resolution 1080p/720p video footage from any device with HDMI or Component (YPbPr) video output, such as the Orion StarShoot HD Video/Web Broadcasting Camera (sold separately). You can also use this versatile device to record footage from a Blu-Ray player, set-top box, and even modern video game consoles such as the Nintendo Wii/WiiU, Sony PS3/PS4, and Xbox 360/Xbox One.

The Orion StarShoot HD Video Capture Device is a conveniently portable, stand-alone device that does not require a computer to record high-definition video footage. When used with the Orion StarShoot HD Video/Web Broadcasting Camera, this compact device makes it easy to capture and store high-definition astrophotographic footage of the view through your telescope.

The StarShoot HD Video Capture Device stores video footage on external USB flash drives or USB hard drives. We include a 16 GB Flash thumb drive with the device, which can store approximately 2 hours of footage at full 1080p 30fps resolution. Once recorded, you can plug the flash drive into a computer to playback your high-definition stargazing footage in MP4 format, or you can transfer footage to Windows or Macintosh computers for further processing with video editing software, if desired.     

Includes a 16GB flash drive, 5V power adapter, HDMI cable, and component adapter. The compact Orion StarShoot HD Capture Device measures 4.33" x 2.95" x 1.06" in size. Weighs just 4.76 ounces.
