Sometimes looking through a straight finder scope can be a strain, making you crouch down and crane your neck for a clear view. Well, you can call off the chiropractors because this Orion 9x50 Right-Angle Correct-Image Finder Scope lets you view in contortion-free comfort! What's more, it has a built-in Amici prism to provide a correctly oriented view — not upside-down as with standard finders.

This achromatic crosshair finder scope sports deluxe features including fully coated glass lenses, internal baffling, and focus adjustment. The Orion 9x50 Right-Angle Correct-Image Finder Scope includes a sturdy aluminum bracket with two perpendicular thumbscrews and an oblique spring-loaded tensioner for easy two-step alignment – a big improvement over older six-setscrew designs. You’ll have this finder scope aligned with your telescope in no time. The finder scope bracket features a dovetail foot that fits most Orion telescopes. An optional dovetail base can be purchased for custom installations, or for dual-finder scope desires. The right-angle prism and eyepiece are not removable, but focus can be adjusted by rotating the front lens housing. A locking ring lets you set the focus point however you wish.

This Black 9x50 Right-Angle, Correct-Image Finder Scope is a large-aperture model ideal for use with bigger telescopes. With 50mm of aperture and a wide 5° field of view, you’ll be able to identify bright deep space curiosities for clues of where to aim your telescope for more magnified inspection. The finder scope’s significant 9x magnification makes it easy to aim your telescope with precision. Weighs 18.6 oz.

I am a newbie to the hobby of astronomy and purchased a new telescope that came with a RDF (red dot finder). I found it difficult to use by virtue of not only the very uncomfortable neck positions one must assume to site a target at high altitudes, but the light of the red dot, even at low levels, often made it difficult to hone in on dim targets. I brought my problem to an astronomy forum and the Orion RADI 9x50 seemed to be a commonly used finder scope. I ordered one and I love it. Unlike the RDF, which was very difficult to align, I had this scope aligned in seconds. It is incredibly comfortable to use with the 90 viewing angle, and I find that I am very easily able to locate and center my targets and when I look into the scope's EP - there it is! I highly recommend this product as an excellent finder scope.

This little viewfinder is of solid craftsmanship , the optics are excelent , contrast is superb. Alignment is easy and requires only 2 screws, and they adjust against a spring loaded plunger, wich make the adjustment very smooth and easy. It definetly looks heavier than it actually is, i was expecting it to be quite heavier but even with the base it wont make your dob front heavy at all.
crosshairs are your regular black cross, wich is adjustable at the eyepiece itself. i bought this because of the right angle, though i am pleasantly suprised to also have a very good view to center objects with.
Favorite viewing location:??Fajardo pr,
Favorite object to observe:??So far Saturn, hercules globluar, m42, 7 sisters

The difference between this finder, in both ease of use and location finder is a ten-fold improvement. Should come stock vs the "EZ Finder" that comes with any XT model.
