My favorite Orion equipment is my 10x50 binoculars - I have a great valley view and they give a crisp detailed image during the day, and at night are perfect for scanning the sky, moon, and of course comets!
I got started in astronomy in 1970 with a 3" reflector. I've had a C8 and now have an LX200, with several nice Orion eyepieces. I have photos of Halley's comet from 1986 and used to frequent Fremont Peak near San Juan Bautista. Cheers! [and keep looking up]
