It has a fully coated, 50mm achromatic objective lens with adjustable focus. It has 9x magnification and a standard (inverted) 5.5-deg field of view with superimposed crosshairs. I use this finder on a orion 10 inch skyquest dob. It works fantasic, it is very easy to adjust with the scews on the scope. The way I did it was to first the object first in the 10 inch, then center it in the finder, then the finder is set for all future usage. The finder has a nice wide field of view. I can center the object in the finder, and it will be in the field of view of the 10 inch at 170x, which is GREAT accuracy. I highly recommend this finder.

my previous finder was a vixen 7x50 and the bracket had six screws for aligning the finder with the main scope. 3 of those screws could only be turned with an allen wrench. this made alignment darn near impossible. the orion bracket has 2 finger adjustment screws and a spring loaded post that makes alignment so easy it's actually enjoyable. additionally, i find the 9x50 with its 5 degree field of view more effective than 7x50 with its 7 degree fov.

I have one of these finders on my ETX and it is such a joy. It took literally 30 seconds to adjust it to the scope and it is bright and easy to use. A solid value
