Orion Parsec 8300M Monochrome Astronomical Imaging Camera Processing: Photoshop Exposure: All Exposures 10 minutes and 20 each of Ha, OIII, & SII Other Equipment Used: Nautilus Filter Wheel & Orion Narrowband Filters Notes: Here's M16 in Narrowband. This color isn't what you typically see for M16. I was having a hard time with the Hubble Pallet, I couldn't seem to find the right color combination. I decided to try mapping my colors like this:
Ha = Green
OIII = Red
SII = Blue
And the results are what you see here.
Astro-images taken through a telescope on a tracking mount provide breathtaking color and detail that you just can't see with your eyes alone. The astro-images on our web site demonstrate the imaging capabilities of the products used and are not intended to represent what you will see when you look through a telescope.
