Orion Paragon HD-F2 Heavy Duty Tripod
Nikon 1 V1 Exposure: 1x30 sec @ ISO 400 f/10 Notes: Iridium satellites are part of a fleet of satellites, built for worldwide wireless communications. When you happen to see the reflection of sunrays from one of the three MMA antennas or from the solar panels, you will stand in the limelight: The satellite lights up for a few seconds and produces an almost dazzling flare, that can even cast shadows. I used CalSKY.com to predict the flare.
Astro-images taken through a telescope on a tracking mount provide breathtaking color and detail that you just can't see with your eyes alone. The astro-images on our web site demonstrate the imaging capabilities of the products used and are not intended to represent what you will see when you look through a telescope.
The Orion Paragon HD-F2 field tripod is strong enough to hold binoculars, a camera, spotting scope, or small telescope - anything up to 6 lbs. Recently upgraded with easy-to-use lever locks and graduated marks for quick and easy leveling.
