Orion ShortTube 80-A Refractor Telescope
Orion Paragon HD-F2 Heavy Duty Tripod
Nikon 1 V1 Processing: Nebulosity 3 and Pixelmator Exposure: 1x1/8 @ ISO 3200, 1x1/8 @ ISO 1600, 1x1/8 @ ISO 800 Notes: Thought the moon looked neat so I grabbed my new scope and snapped a few pics. I took three photos at different exposures and created an HDR image by stacking them in Nebulosity 3. The stacked image showed the star as three due to the movement of the moon in its orbit so I corrected for that by pasting a single image of the star over it.
An upgraded version of the ShortTube 80, the 80-A is very portable and is perfect for the beginning astronomer. Wide field of view makes it ideal for deep sky viewing. The refractor optical tube attaches easily to any Orion telescope mount.
The Orion Paragon HD-F2 field tripod is strong enough to hold binoculars, a camera, spotting scope, or small telescope - anything up to 6 lbs. Recently upgraded with easy-to-use lever locks and graduated marks for quick and easy leveling.
