It fills the need for portability without sacrificing strength. From its aluminum, closed-channel legs to its two-way fluid pan head, this Tritech tripod is well-suited for almost any viewing or photographic situation. Mount your field glasses, spotting scope, or camera on the quick-release shoe; it locks in tight, with no "play." The elevator crank adjusts the head up or down 12" to the desired height. The Orion Large Tritech Tripod's three-section channel legs have an anodized pewter-tone finish and are center-braced to enhance stability. Clamp-style leg locks open and close in a snap (literally). A great value!
