A total solar eclipse in our own backyard!

For the first time in over 99 years, the path of totality of the August 21, 2017 total solar eclipse will stretch diagonally across the contiguous U.S.A. from Oregon to South Carolina. If you're outside the path, you'll still be able to enjoy a partial eclipse, but we recommend planning a road-trip to enjoy the once-in-a-lifetime experience of witnessing totality in real-time.

Are you "totality" ready?

We're already excited about the August 21, 2017 Total Solar Eclipse! Events like eclipses certainly don't happen every day, and it's even rarer for the path of totality to be in our own backyard, or just a road trip away. If you want the best views of this rare event, you're in luck! Orion carries a full assortment of glass and safety film solar filters for telescopes and binoculars. We're your one-stop Solar Eclipse shop!

CAUTION: Never look at the Sun, either directly or through a telescope or binocular, without a professionally made protective solar filter installed that completely covers the front of the instrument, or permanent eye damage could result. When using a truss tube telescope to view the Sun, both a properly fitting solar filter and light shroud are required.
