The 1.25” barrel is threaded for use with Orion 1.25” filters and also glare threaded to help prevent internal reflections from reducing the brightness of your views.

The body of the Orion High-Power 1.25” 3x 4-Element Barlow is machined from solid aluminum with a grip-friendly rubber exterior. A brass compression ring secures any inserted 1.25” telescope eyepiece in place without marring or scratching the barrel, keeping your eyepieces like-new.
