I use it to store my Celestron C6 SCT, and it is a perfect fit. Has enough padding to protect a scope from bumps when in the trunk on the way to wilderness and dark sky sites, but you still need to be careful not to drop it of course. Enough space for small accessories in the other pouch on the case. Overall a great value for just that little extra of protection and keeping dust off your scope.

Your telescope is a valuable investment and protection while in transport or not in use is important. The Mak 180 case is a rugged,durable and well padded case with added compartments for accessories, a plus. Handles easy for transport. I highly recommend the case.

I bought this padded case to use with an old Questar7, with dovetail plate installed. It is a tight fit, with the Questar Control box on the end, but I am satisfied with the result. The telescope, in this case, is then carried in an old flight case that was used for some other unrelated instrument. It would be nice to have fitted foam, but this is a quick fix.
