Use your laser pointer as a collimator! With Orion's SkyLine Laser Pointer Telescope Collimation System you can use the Orion SkyLine Deluxe Green Laser Pointer as a precision collimating device for Newtonian and Dobsonian reflector telescopes. This innovative device will work with any laser pointer that measures 13mm to 15mm in diameter.

It's easy to use the Orion SkyLine Laser Pointer Telescope Collimation System, and the results are delightfully accurate. Simply insert a compatible laser pointer, such as the Orion SkyLine Deluxe Green Laser Pointer, into the device and insert the combination into your reflector telescope's focuser. With the laser powered-on, rotate the Collimation System in the focuser while carefully peering down the front opening of the telescope to see the laser dot on the primary mirror. As you rotate the Collimation System in the focuser, the laser dot will move around in a small circle. Adjust the two centering screws to center the beam until the dot no longer moves in a circular path when you rotate the Collimation System. This innovative and easy rotational alignment process ensures the laser beam is perfectly aligned with the Telescope Collimation System's mechanical axis, so you'll always know the collimator is working properly. After you've aligned the inserted laser pointer with the Collimation System, adjust your reflector telescope's secondary mirror until the laser beam becomes centered on the primary mirror's center-mark target. From there, just follow standard laser-collimation steps to precisely align your telescope's reflective optics.

The versatile Orion SkyLine Laser Pointer Telescope Collimation System is compatible with any color of laser pointer, as long as the pointer measures 13mm to 15mm in diameter. The device is made of finely machined aluminum with precision ball bearings for easy and accurate centering. Complete operating and collimation instructions are included. Laser pointer sold separately.

With the accurate Orion SkyLine Laser Pointer Telescope Collimation System, you'll always know the collimator is precisely aligned and working properly, so you can be confident of your reflector telescope's optical alignment each and every time you get out under starry skies. Order one today for a fast and easy way to get the most out of both your laser pointer and reflector telescope!
