The Coronado CEMAX 2x Barlow Lens is specifically designed to maximize contrast and minimize glare at the H-alpha wavelengths when viewing the sun through a specialized H-alpha telescope. But this Barlow also is universal and will work equally well at night when you want a boost to the magnification of the moon or planets. Simple insert your eyepiece into the CEMAX Barlow, and you instantly get 2x the native magnification of the eyepiece! Also works for astrophotography if you have a camera with a 1.25" nosepiece, effectively doubling the focal length of the telescope when inserted. The compact nature of this Barlow (using short focus throw lenses) allows it to be about half the total length of a standard 2x Barlow. This makes it easy to store away in your equipment case, and also keeps the eyepiece from sitting unnecessarily high above the focuser or diagonal it is inserted into.

Fully multi-coated optics for efficient light transmission, threaded for standard 1.25" filters on the front end, and utilizes a 1.25" body to slip into any standard 1.25" focuser or diagonal. Can also work on any 2" focuser or diagonal if it equipped with a 2" to 1.25" adapter.

NOTE: this Barlow is NOT a solar filter by itself, and for safe solar observing MUST be used in conjunction with a Coronado Ha Solar telescope or telescope with a Coronado filter set appropriately and safely mounted.
