SCT Adapters thread onto the standard C8 visual back to allow use of standard 2" eyepiece accessories — such as our Everbrite diagonal mirror. Where SCT fork swing-through clearance is an issue, such as on the LX90, use the SCT adapter, short (Orion 8365/TV #ACS-0004) and 2" SCT 90 degree Everbrite, short (DPS-2004) to gian 0.7" of clearance. With Celestron f/6.3 reducer, the short 2" diagonal system acts at f/5.5. With ths setup, a 27mm Panoptic yields a 1.5 degree true field on a C8.

Nice Quality Adapter.

This is a nice adapter. I bought it to upgrade my Nexstar 8 SE SCT scope. By itself, it will not provide adequate swing-through clearance. I use it with the Orion 2" dielectric diagonal, and the diagonal hits the mount very close to zenith (DANG). To gain the 0.7" of clearance (which looks like all I need), the Tele Vue 2" SCT 90 Everbrite diagonal with its shorter male end must also be used. I wish I would have known before purchasing the Orion diagonal.
