The SkyQuest XT10 Classic Dobsonian Telescope and Beginner Barlow Kit bundle isn’t just a good bang for the buck, it’s a supernova of value! Not only do you get the top-notch 10” aperture Dobsonian reflector telescope, but you also get a great assortment of useful accessories too, all for one low price!

Classic Dob Chart

Our SkyQuest XT10 Classic Dobsonian gives you the deep-space thrills without the deep-pocket frills. We’ve kept it lean and mean to keep its price low for tight budgets. But rest assured, the XT10 Classic Dob come fully equipped for adventure, whether you’re a beginning stargazer or are graduating to a more capable telescope. The XT10 Classic Dobsonian features an expertly figured parabolic mirror housed in an enameled steel optical tube. The tube rides on a stable Dobsonian base that allows easy point-and-view navigation and has a convenient carrying handle. A 2” Crayford focuser provides smooth, backlash-free focus adjustments so you can achieve a tack-sharp view each and every time. An Orion EZ Finder II reflex sight is included for easy aiming of the XT10 Classic Dobsonian reflector telescope. A 25mm Sirius Plossl telescope eyepiece (1.25”) provides 48 power magnification. A quick-collimation cap is alos included so you can maintain the alignment of the reflector telescope’s optics.

Setup takes only a minute, leaving the rest of the evening to marvel at the planets, the Moon, and a myriad of deep-sky treasures like galaxies, nebulas, and star clusters. Enjoy the fantastic views with the Orion SkyQuest XT10 Classic Dobsonian Telescope - and boost your viewing magnification with the included Beginner Barlow Kit!

A great combination of accessories for anyone beginning a hobby of amateur astronomy, the handy Beginner Barlow Kit includes the powerful Orion Shorty 2x Barlow Lens and the useful Orion Beginning Stargazers Toolkit. A 2-power (2x) Barlow lens is an extremely versatile eyepiece accessory that doubles the magnification of any eyepiece installed. For example, if you have a telescope with a 1200mm focal length, using a 25mm eyepiece will yield a view with 48-power magnification (1200 divided by 25). If you installed the same 25mm eyepiece into the Shorty 2x Barlow Lens and then inserted into the XT10’s focuser, your viewing magnification would be increased to 96-power magnification (48 x 2). Barlows are great eyepiece accessories for beginning astronomers since they allow you to double the power of the eyepieces included with your telescope. They are a great and affordable way to add to your arsenal of viewing magnifications. What’s more, the Orion Shorty 2x Barlow gets it’s "Shorty" moniker from its compact size compared to other Barlow lenses, so it’s easier to find a spot for it when packing your gear for a night under the stars.

With the included Orion Beginning Stargazer’s Toolkit, you’ll never be "lost in space!" It contains four items designed to help new astronomers find their way around the heavens.

1.    Star Target Planisphere — Dial in your local date and time and it shows you the locations of the constellations and deep-sky objects in the night sky
2.    Discover the Stars — A wonderfully written and illustrated observer’s guide
3.    Moon Map — Identify craters and other lunar features with your telescope
4.    Orion RedBeam Mini LED Astro Flashlight — Emits pure red light that won’t spoil your night vision. Perfect for reading your planisphere or seeing what you’re doing at the telescope

This is a great telescope for the money. When it comes to telescopes, bigger is better, and this is a pretty big telescope. This telescope really opens up the night sky. Hundreds of stars that can not be seen with the naked eye show up clearly using this telescope. I was able to clearly find and view Jupiter with this telescope on my first attempt at ever using a telescope. I am a complete novice. It helps to have a smartphone app to help navigate to a point of interest but everyone has a smartphone nowadays and there are plenty of free star watching apps out there to help even the newest of astronomers.
The moon look spectacular with all of it's craters and shades of grey.
My only regret is that I didn't spring for the computerized tracking system which takes the pain out of searching the night sky for hard to locate objects. I suppose this will force me to find stars the old fashioned way, star hopping, which is a good skill to have and makes me appreciate each find I come across.
Favorite viewing location:??My backyard.
Favorite object to observe:??The moon is spectacular
Pros: great value, plenty of room for upgrades
Cons: difficult to carry
Yes, I recommend this product!

I have always wanted a telescope and decided to make this my first. And in no way was i disappointed! This is truly an amazing scope at a great value. Very easy to assemble and use. It really is perfect for any beginner with tons of room for growth. Not only do the planets and moon pop with detail but faint objects like galaxies and clusters shine beautifully. The only draw back is it is pretty big and heavy. Otherwise i would recommend this masterpiece of a scope to anyone with a real curiosity for what lies in the night sky.
Favorite viewing location:??New Mexico
Pros: ease of use, great value, amazing views
Cons: heavy, not portable
Yes, I recommend this product!
