This affordable bundle of great astronomy gear will provide the whole family with hours upon hours of educational enjoyment under starry skies. The StarSeeker 130 GoTo Reflector Telescope & SkyLine Kit includes the computerized Orion StarSeeker 130 GoTo telescope, Orion SkyLine Deluxe Green Laser Pointer, 1.25” Orion 2x Shorty Barlow Lens, and the Orion Beginning Stargazer’s Toolkit. This combination of stellar equipment is conveniently bundled together as a complete solution for nighttime stargazers. Let's explore each of the included items:

You don’t have to know Lyra from Leo to locate oodles of celestial objects with the Orion StarSeeker 130 GoTo Reflector Telescope. It uses the latest computerized object-locating technology to automatically pinpoint any of 4,000+ astronomical objects, then tracks it until you are ready to move on to the next one! The Orion StarSeeker 130 GoTo Reflector telescope utilizes the user-friendly "SkyAlign" alignment system, which anyone in the family can use easily. Just point the telescope at three bright objects such as stars in the sky - you don’t even have to know the name of the objects - and follow the simple directions displayed on the computerized GoTo hand controller along the way. The telescope’s SkyAlign technology will then calibrate the StarSeeker 130’s GoTo system so you can enjoy automatic location and tracking of over 4,000 celestial objects of interest. Night after night, the GoTo StarSeeker 130 reflector telescope will entertain you with beautiful views of celestial curiosities, regardless of how familiar, or unfamiliar, you are with the night sky.

The StarSeeker 130’s 5.1" diameter (130mm) parabolic mirror has a relatively short 650mm focal length (f/5.0) which provides a nice, wide field of view and bright images. Friends and family will enjoy probing intriguing star clusters and nebulas as well as the Moon and planets with this capable GoTo reflector telescope. The StarSeeker 130 includes an illuminated pushbutton GoTo hand controller, 1.25" rack-and-pinion focuser, two 1.25" Kellner telescope eyepieces (25mm and 10mm focal lengths), and a red-dot reflex-sight aiming device to aid in the initial alignment of the GoTo system.
Point yourself, and your StarSeeker 130 GoTo Reflector telescope, in the right direction with the included Orion SkyLine Kit! Featuring the Orion SkyLine Deluxe Green Laser Pointer, Orion Shorty 2x Barlow Lens, and Orion Beginning Stargazers Toolkit, the Orion Add SkyLine Kit enhances your ability to sight celestial objects in the night sky, magnify your view of such objects, and to learn about them and when they can be viewed.

The Orion SkyLine Deluxe Green Laser Pointer is a perfect tool for stargazers. It emits a thin but distinct green laser beam that appears to stretch all the way to the stars! The SkyLine provides a wonderfully interactive and fun way to identify tars, outline constellations, and decide where to aim your telescope. It even works in light-polluted or moonlit skies! It’s great for accurately pointing out stars, planets, and more for others to see. The Orion SkyLine Deluxe Green Laser Pointer utilizes electronic feedback regulation to ensure ultra-stable beam intensity compared to other green lasers on the market, so the beam remains stable even in cold temperatures. The aluminum pointer body is conveniently compact at just 6" long and features a pocket clip. AAA batteries are included for operation. CAUTION: Use the Skyline Deluxe Green Laser Pointer responsibly! Never aim it anywhere near people, moving vehicles, or windows. Keep out of the hands of children.

A 2-power (2x) Barlow lens is an extremely versatile eyepiece accessory that doubles the magnification of any eyepiece installed. For example, when using the StarSeeker 130mm GoTo reflector telescope which has a focal length of 650mm, using the included 10mm Kellner eyepiece will yield a view with 65-power magnification (650 divided by 10). If you installed the same 10mm eyepiece into the included Orion Shorty 2x Barlow Lens and then installed in the telescope’s focuser, your viewing magnification would be increased to 130-power magnification (65 x 2). Barlow lenses are great accessories for any amateur astronomer, since they allow you to double the power of the eyepieces included with your telescope. They’re a great and affordable way to add to your arsenal of viewing magnifications. What’s more, the Orion Shorty 2x Barlow gets it’s "Shorty" moniker from its compact size compared to other Barlow lenses, so it’s easier to find a spot for it when packing your accessories for a night under the stars.

With the included Orion Beginning Stargazer’s Toolkit, you’ll never be "lost in space!" It contains four items designed to help new astronomers find their way around the heavens.
1.    Star Target Planisphere — Dial in your local date and time and this circular star chart will show you the locations of the constellations and deep-sky objects visible in the night sky on that particular day and at the time specified. It’s a great tool for planning stargazing sessions, and for getting the most out of each evening with your StarSeeker 130 reflector telescope.
2.    Discover the Stars — A wonderfully written and illustrated observer’s guide, Discover the Stars provides a wealth of information on the rewarding hobby of astronomy.
3.    Moon Map — Identify craters and other lunar features with your telescope and this detailed map of our planet’s nearest neighbor in space!
4.    Orion RedBeam Mini LED Astro Flashlight — This handy keychain flashlight emits pure red light that won’t spoil your night vision. Perfect for reading your Star Target planisphere, seeing what you’re doing at the telescope, or finding the occasional misplaced thumbscrew or eyepiece.

I just received my Orion Starseeker 130 go to reflector and skyline kit. Haven't actually used it at night, that review will be soon, since it's overcast right now. It seems to be very well made, all the books and dvd's that I got also were very informative, even my 5 year old son was using starry night software. This is my first scope, wanted to get a nice foothold on the hobby. Very nice green laser pointer also, worth buying the kit. I would recommend this scope to a friend.

The StarSeeker Reflector 130 GoTo & Skyline Kit was an excellent choice!
This was our first experience with Telescopes and we couldn't be more happier with this thing. Already looked at the moon, Jupiter and a few other objects. Alignment is easy with the GoTo system, focusing is smooth and the skyline kit comes with some good extras.
If you're shopping for your first telescope, the StarSeeker 130 will not disappoint.
Pros: goto system is easy to use, well built and sturdy, 2 eye pieces
Cons: accessory tray needs a little help
Yes, I recommend this product!

I had got this telescope kit not knowing much about telescopes or the things we could see with them. After seeing the moon and the rings of Saturn I don't think I could have bought a better telescope kit.
The assembly of the telescope is extremely easy. I followed along with the "How To Set Up an Orion StarSeeker 130mm GoTo Reflector" video in the video gallery and was ready to view the stars in under 10 minutes.
The computerized GoTo system is great. I use my phone to find the stars to align to (only because I don't know the stars to well) and after the two stars are aligned I can easily find anything that might be up in the sky for that day with a few button pushes.
The accessories are a great touch. Starry Night makes planning a star watching nights easy. Being able to find the best times and when they will start appearing in the night makes it easy to schedule so you can see everything. The laser is great for showing friends where you are looking and to point out things in the sky.
The only con I have found with this telescope is the accessory tray. It uses a plastic bolt that is just a little to short. It doesn't seem to make a tight fit so the accessory tray moves a bit and can easily come off it you bump it and it turns just a little.
This is just a great buy for beginners.
Yes, I recommend this product!
