Orion XT12g GoTo Dobsonian Telescope
Watec 902H Ultimate CCD video camera Notes: Here is a quick clip of NGC 869 and NGC 884 through my Orion 12 inch GOTO DOB using my Watec 902H Ultimate CCD video camera and a Knight Owl 0.5 Focal Reducer giving a 25 minute field of view down to 13th magnitude depending on spectrum of the star. Also seen is the read out of the KIWI Time Inserter giving the exact time of the video in UT. This was taken at somewhat low altitude and inside the city of Lawrence Kansas. Therefore, it was taken in less than average conditions just outside my house. I will put up some other videos in due time.
Astro-images taken through a telescope on a tracking mount provide breathtaking color and detail that you just can't see with your eyes alone. The astro-images on our web site demonstrate the imaging capabilities of the products used and are not intended to represent what you will see when you look through a telescope.
