Take your astrophotography to the next level with this set of 1.25" Luminance (IR cutoff), Red, Green, and Blue telescope filters. They're designed for creating high-quality composite color astrophotos with Orion monochrome imaging cameras or similar monochrome cameras. Combining separate images taken through these four filters with a monochrome CCD provides a higher-resolution final image than an image from a comparably sized color CCD. Our LRGB set features dichroic glass filters designed for maximum transmission. The color filters have an IR-blocking coating, and all filters are parfocal to eliminate the need for refocusing between exposure sets. Their anodized aluminum cells thread into the Orion multiple and motorized filter wheels for convenient filter selection. Foam-lined telescope filter case included.

I've got LRGB set second hand and did some tests with a simple spectroscope and local street light - high pressure sodium lamp. The results are on (my flickr page) Yellow is indeed cut out, which is the major light pollution band. Looks nice.

This LRGB imaging filter set is excellent for the price. I've taken transmission spectra of the filters with a research grade spectrophotometer and the published spectra are identical to what I obtained. One caveat, these aren't *exactly* parfocal. A slight amount of refocusing is required when switching between them. These work well with both my DSI Pro and my ATIK 16HR. Color balance is a bit skewed towards green and I had to play around with color weights to get natural color. Overall however, you can't find a better set for the price. These are no doubt two steps up from the Meade LRGB filter set for not a whole lot more. Buy them. You'll be glad you did.

Hi all for the price these filters they are the best. They are IR coated that means all the filters have a IR coating on them not only the IR/UV Luminance Filter. (Read it on this months Orion?s catalog) I have these running on a Sbig ST-7 and have no problems at all. The best thing about them is the price $200.00 not $500.00.
