Orion StarSeek Astronomy App

Orion's StarSeek is a powerful and easy-to-use astronomy app that is equally suited to beginning sky watchers on up to hard-core amateur astronomy enthusiasts and telescope users. Available for Apple (iOS) and Android devices, StarSeek lets anyone identify what's in the night sky simply by holding your phone or tablet up to the sky! But that's just the beginning. This feature-packed app lets you animate the stars and planets, look up upcoming sky events, plan and log observations, view hundreds of space images, and so much more. StarSeek includes 2.5 million stars, 31,000 deep sky objects, the Solar System's planets and moons, and over 4,000 updatable asteroids, comets, and satellites.

StarSeek 5 also enables wireless control of the complete line of Orion motorized GoTo and IntelliScope computerized "push to" telescopes/mounts using your smartphone or tablet! Telescope control requires the StarSeek Wireless (Wi-Fi) Telescope Controller module (sold separately) and the serial cable that came with your computerized telescope or mount. The StarSeek Wireless controller works with almost any brand of GoTo telescope or mount equipped with a standard USB or RS-232 serial interface. All you need is the RS-232 cable supplied by the manufacturer.
