The switch on this flashlight is useless.

I got this light when I bought my XT-8 and lot of other accessories. (I'm very happy with everything else!) The switch on it never quite worked right. Now I have to turn it on and off with an object like a pen. When it works it is great, but it takes several tries to turn it on, too much hassle in cold winter viewing. I'll buy a different light next time.

I keep one of these in my lense case and one with my binoculars. When attaching my binoculars to the Paragon mount, I stick the little thing in my mouth to light up the socket. No other Orion flashlight lets you do that with any ease. I really like the quality and ease of use. Also, the batteries seem to last a long time. Really a fine value.

I love this thing. It gets cold here in the winter. Many nights I am loathe to set up my scope or even take binoculars outside, but I bundle up and pop outside with this little flashlight and a star chart or planisphere and learn a little more sky. Five or ten minutes later I'm back inside. It keeps me going. Put this on your key ring, keep it in your coat pocket, whatever. Everyone ought to have something this inexpensive and useful.
