I am delighted to have this EZ finder. I change the one from CELESTRON with this one because of ORION's huge FOV and the nice shape of red dots is provide.

I am extremely pleased with this finder. It is adjustable for brightness and reticle type. It is easy to align and stays in alignment when removed and reinstalled on the scope. I find it much easier to use than a conventional finder scope. If all you have only used is a conventional finder scope, give this a try. I highly recommend it.

Give it high marks and it works well. Fits my Orion 8 inch reflector and easy to use. I like the multiple target patterns and dimmer setting. I can aim the telescope fast on anything I can see in the finder. Also like that is made out of metal and not plastic.

I am a beginner, in the process of learning how to use an 8" reflector on an equatorial mount. The most difficult and frustrating thing has been simply pointing the telescope at a star that is easily visible to the naked eye. For various reasons I found the 9x50 finder that came with the telescope extremely hard to use. The magnification, reversed image, and wobbly mount were driving me crazy. The EZ Finder, on the other hand, is amazingly to use. Aligning it well enough for a magnification of 40x took about a minute (the moon was perfect). A closer adjustment at 200x took another three or four minutes. Once it's aligned, if you can see something in the sky, you can point the telescope at it in seconds. I can't recommend it enough.

We got a 6" SkyQuest Intelliscope for Christmas and spent the first month struggling just to get it aligned to two stars so the computer could show us sights in the sky. The problem is not with the computer, it's the fact that the sight that ships has magnification, so when you're looking up at a star (eg, Sirius) and it appears alone in your sky to the naked eye, it doesn't when you look through the viewfinder, and we often aligned to the wrong star. When I got this installed, I was turned around looking for a lens and my 9 year old son wound up locking on M45 (Pleiades) just using the viewfinder. I knew right away we were on to something, and since then we've been able to find Saturn, several nebulae, Comet Lulin, and several galaxies all without using the computer! What a difference it makes- this should be included with all scopes designed for novices. Only criticism, as others said, the range of settings for the red (LED) projection go from too bright to far too bright- needs to be scaled back so that the dimmest setting now is the brightest setting available. Then you'd really be able to see the star pinpointed between the pattern. Other than that- seems like a perfect product!

I have several telescopes, and have recently converted all the old ones to use modern dovetail finder mounts. This finder is very well made, from metal not cheap plastic. It is also amazingly easier to locate objects than with a traditional 6x to 8X finder. Having different reticle patterns available is good, having variable intensity mandatory! It is quite compact and is fairly lightweight. I recommend it highly.

I have a 10" DOB with a 9X50 RAFS. I was looking for a good Red Dot finder to go along with this. I have seen the ads for the Telrad, but I didn't need or want something that big on my scope. I know my way around the sky, so I just wanted something simple to put me on the target fast. Sometimes trying to sight a little star is tough with a finder scope. Not anymore! This Red Dot finder is awesome! The all metal feels solid and it works as good as it feels. You can get it aligned very fast, and the battery will last quite a long time. It doesn't take up much room on top of your scope, and it weighs close to nothing. No problem with weight from having both a finder and this mounted at the same time. It works great with a large DOB, or any large scope. I would very highly recommend this to anyone. Great product. The only issue I have was I felt the shipping was high for no more than this weighs.

I am absolutely delighted with the EZ Finder Deluxe. I wish I had incorporated one into my observing life sooner. I own many telescopes and binoculars but I tend to favor my little "grab and go" instruments. I frequently use Orion's excellent 90mm Maksutov on a very nice Bogen/Manfrotto tripod with slow motion head. The inclusion of the EZ Finder Deluxe makes object location nearly effortless. It only enhances the pleasure and freedom of using lightweight, totally portable, and highly capable equipment. I feel this quality product is a "must have" accessory. - Eric

I'd never used one of these and I love it. Just look at a map, point the red dot at that place in the sky, and the object's (usually!) right there.

I've been advising viewers for years that a 1 x finder is key to finding objects in the sky with a telescope. I've seen people struggle to find the moon in their instrument despite the fact that they can easily see it without aid. I have 4 other 1 x finders for various 'scopes. The Orion EZ finder Deluxe Reflex Sight has it all: sturdy, easily aligned, great choice of patterns, adjustable intensity and great price. Highly recommended.

If you're considering a viewfinder for your Orion refractor, your consideration should stop here. This product is the best (money) I ever spent on an accessory, and it's worth every penny and then some. It is solid, very well made, and stays aligned. No more breaking your neck looking through a straw for a viewfinder. No more upside down or reverse images and trying to guess where you're looking at in the sky. So, if you want to upgrade your viewfinder, save yourself a lot of frustration and buy this product. You won't be disappointed!

Orion has done it again with their Easy Finder Deluxe! The heavy, all metal construction really feels like it will last a lifetime. Though slightly confusing at first, aligning it was a breeze. The hex screws are a great feature so that it will align and STAY aligned with the scope. Stars were kind of dim looking through the glass, although living in a very light polluted area might be the culprit. Overall, a VERY nice and useful instrument, and well worth the money. Go the extra $25 and get a reflex sight that you will love forever instead of the cheaper, Easy Finder II that like so many other products dot todays market last maybe a few weeks before finding their place in crowded closets across America. In short, BUY THIS!

Best quality Red Dot on the market. The one that came with my 8" Celestron SE just does not compare.

Your EZ finder deluxe is a tremendous help. It realy is an amazing instrument. It makes viewing the planets and stars so much easier since I have limited vision. It takes a lot less time to locate objects that I am interested in viewing. This helps being our time outside is so limited here in Alaska. We will be using it much more when my wife and I move to a better viewing state. Thank you Orion for coming up with such a versatile device. John Azok, Wasilla, Alaska

I purchased the EZ finder II about two years ago and found it much easier to use than my other finder scopes. The only thing I wished was that it had a larger field of view. The EZ Finder Deluxe solves that. I love it. I can find objects much easier and faster than before. I would recommend this scope to anyone who likes to find objects the old fashion way.

The finder's all metal construction creates a nice, stable feel to this accessory on my SkyView Pro 120mm refractor. It does have to be adjusted to the dimmest setting in order to prevent the red dot or other indicator from interfering with alignment with the target object. Keep adjusting it until it looks good for you.
