It's the same night sky, all right. But with this jumbo Orion GiantView binocular, you'll see it like never before. Its large-aperture, fully multi-coated optics provide exceptional light gathering capability for stargazing. And if terrestrial observing is more your speed, you will appreciate this GiantView's long-distance range, wide field of view, and stunning resolution.

The GiantView 15x70 Large-Aperture is a wonderfully well made binocular. The BAK-4 prisms and internal baffling ensure sharp images and pleasing contrast. The barrels are cross-reinforced with an aluminum rod and objective cell cuffs for maximum structural rigidity and unflinching optical alignment. A sliding 1/4"-20 mounting post is held captive on the rod, for coupling the binocular to a tripod (recommended) and achieving optimum balance.

This big binocular provides a generous 4mm exit pupil and the serious magnifying power you need to resolve subtle details in your target object. The eyepieces focus individually, which affords a higher degree of focusing precision than center-focus mechanisms. And the long eye relief even lets eyeglass wearers see an unrestricted field of view.

When you do get your new Orion GiantView binocular, get ready for some late nights! Because you won't want to stop observing that seemingly new, more star-studded sky. Includes heavy-duty aluminum case. One-year limited warranty.

It is ideal for quick stargazing, use it with the tripod, just grab it and step out your door, you can start viewing, and it is pretty steady with the tripod, i have seen moon and Jupiter and other star clusters with it many times, Very good.

I hate to admit it but at times I see more stars and more glow from clusters than with any of my telescopes. A good instrument for scanning the night sky. A bit heavy though after holding them awhile. My tripod comes in handy.

I am new at Astronomy. Less then a year ago, I was given a telescope that no one could work. I put it together and was viewing the moon all in one night. This is the start of my great Astronomy journey. A friend introduced me to space.com, which lead me to the Orion website, which lead me to my purchase. I emailed customer support in regards to the binoculars I had, and customer support made a recommendation which has turned out to be just wonderful. I have been able to find things that I have not been able to find in the telescope, such as the Andromeda Galaxy. I found it difficult to view Pleiades with the telescope, but (it) showed up just beautiful in the Binoculars, and I have viewed many nebulas, and much, much more. I love my binoculars. I give the product six stars.

I recently purchased the GiantView 15x70 and was pleased with the overall appearance, the rubberized grip coating is a good idea, helps to minimize the risk of accidental drop. It does have good, sharp, crisp views with terrestrial landscapes. Nighttime viewing has been great with stars focusing to pinpoint images but have noticed the Chromatic Aberration (CA) with bright white objects such as Jupiter but it's not a showstopper, the moons are nice sharp dots. I also noticed the stiff focusing, seems to turn fine clockwise but stiff counterclockwise, hopefully it will limber a little with time, as I've only had them about a month. Overall I am pleased with them, would recommend using a tripod, they're a little too heavy for extended handheld viewing. Can't wait for fall viewing, checking out M45, M42, they're some of my favorites.

I just purchased a pair of Orion 15x70 GiantView binoculars, and I have tested them once during the day and once at night. During the day, images seemed bright and sharp. I did not detect any field curvature, astigmatism, or distortion. Slight chromatic aberration (CA) was noticeable on white objects in sunlight, but the CA was typical and not irritating. During the night, images seemed, again, bright and sharp. I could easily see M31, M32, and M110 in the same field of view. M81, M82, and M51 were surprisingly easy to see. And M8 and M20 were spectacular. When I observed Jupiter, CA was obvious, but the moons were sharp and pretty. Mechanically, the binoculars seem sturdy, and the rubber covering and dust covers seem to offer good protection. When I focus each eyepiece, it is difficult to turn the eyepieces clockwise, but easy to turn them counterclockwise. I hope that they will become easier to turn once I break them in a little bit. As far as I can tell, the optical coatings are of good quality for large-aperture binoculars in this price range. By the way, I use the binoculars on an "image stabilizing frame" that I made with ten dollars worth of wood. This frame holds the binoculars almost as still as expensive binocular mounts do and offers greater freedom of movement (to see plans, do a search for "image stabilizing frame"). All in all, I am very pleased with the magnification, brightness, and sharpness offered by these binoculars at this price. I would not hesitate to recommend these binoculars to others.
