Some people must just be unlucky based on (a previous) reviewer's experience. I had no such problem. In fact, this diagonal is superb. Rarely do you get a Correct-Image Prism diagonal in a 90 degree form. It also comes with a 1.25" adapter. Both pieces look great and reflect Orion's fine workmanship. I have absolutely no complaints and saved BIG on (a) sale price!

Today was the first time I have used this diagonal. It fell apart. ... The part of the diagonal that accepts the eyepiece fell off. Looking at the corpse, I see that the eyepiece connector section is not secured in place with screws but rather pressure fittings. This is a very dangerous design. Beyond the poor design. The price is too high and the shipping costs are criminal. This is a rip OFF!! (Note from Orion: The eyepiece holder portion of this diagonal is held on by four internal setscrews.)
