56 yr. old guy received Orion 130MM telescope 4 xmas. WOW! After deciphering some lame engineer language in the owners manual, figured out I needed to rotate tube holder 180 degrees to unfold for proper telescope positioning. Love it -astronomy is a whole new world! Thank you Orion!

I AM REALLY HAPPY WITH MY TELESCOPE AND HOW IT MOVES TO DIFFERENT OBJECTS IN THE SKY. (IF YOU CAN FIND SOMEBODY THAT KNOWS ABOUT TELESCOPES LET THEM HELP YOU).

The scope itself and the go-to feature I found to be fairly good. The craftsmanship of the optics and the mounting hardware is good. The tripod is a bit shaky and makes it a headache to observe anything during the lightest breeze. The focus knob is big and makes it hard to focus sometimes, especially at high magnification. A finer system for focusing would be great. However the biggest disappointment with this package is that only 2 eyepieces are included, a 25mm and a 10mm, which provides a max of 65x mag, while the scope is able to provide 260x without significant loss in light. So if you want the full power of this telescope, be prepared to spend another $100 on a good eyepiece (a 6, 3, or even a 2.5mm)
