For the Orion StarShoot AutoGuider (#52064)
If you have any questions concerning the driver and autoguider installation, please contact support@telescope.com.
Please follow these instructions before attempting to install your camera:
1. Install PHD Guiding using the CD that was provided with your StarShoot camera. Do not attempt to install or plug your camera into the computer yet. If you have already installed PHD Guiding, please proceed to Step 2 below.
2. Download and save SSAGSetupV2.exe. When you download the file, you may see a security warning like this:

You can safely click "Run" to proceed.
3. When you run the SSAGSetupV2.exe file, you will be asked where you would like to extract the files to on your computer. Click "Unzip" and a new folder will be created, "StarShoot AutoGuider 64-bit Drivers" containing the driver file and two subfolders, "PHD" and "Maxim-Update". Make a note where you save this as you will be asked for this information in a later step.

4. If you are using PHD Guiding to operate your StarShoot AutoGuider, you must replace the "SSAGIF.dll" file in your PHD Guiding program folder. Locate the "StarShoot AutoGuider 64-bit Drivers" folder you just extracted, and open the subfolder called "PHD". Copy the "SSAGIF.dll" file (select the file and press "Ctrl" and "C" simultaneously). Now, locate your PHD Guiding program folder and paste (press "Ctrl" and "V" simultaneously) "SSAGIF.dll" into the folder. Windows will warn you that this file already exists. Select "Copy and Replace".

If you are using MaxIm DL Essentials, follow the same steps using the "Maxim-Update" folder and copy "SSAIF.dll" and "CCDPlugSSAG.dll" files into your MaxIm DL Essentials program folder.
5. Now that you have updated your PHD Guiding or MaxIm DL Essentials software, it's time to load the StarShoot AutoGuider 64-bit drivers. In the "StarShoot AutoGuider 64-bit Drivers" folder, run "SSAGSetup.exe". You will be prompted with the Drivers Setup Wizard. Click "Next" to continue installing the drivers.

6. Select the destination you would like to save the driver files to. You can simply use the default location provided for you, then click "Next".

7. Now select the Start Menu folder name. You may also just use the default name provided for you, then click "Next".

8. A screen will appear "Ready to Install". Click "Install".

9. A Windows Security Window will appear to verify Orion Telescopes & Binoculars as a trusted publisher, click "Install".

10. The StarShoot AutoGuider drivers will take a few moments to install.

11. When the Installation is complete, click "Finish".

12. Plug the StarShoot AutoGuider into your computer's USB port. Windows will automatically locate and install the camera.

13. Your camera is now installed! Use PHD Guiding or MaxIm DL Essentials to operate your StarShoot AutoGuider.
