How To Submit Your Astrophoto
To submit your astrophoto for possible inclusion in our online astrophoto galleries, our printed catalogs, our national advertisements, etc., please attach an electronic version of your photo to an email and send it to starshootgallery@telescope.com as described below. Please send a separate email for each photo you would like to submit.
The photo must meet these requirements:
- The photo must be in jpeg format.
- The photo must be a minimum width of 600 pixels.
- The photo must have been taken using Orion equipment (e.g., an Orion StarShoot camera, an Orion telescope, an Orion mount, etc.)
Please provide us with the following information in the body of your email (be as specific as possible):
- Your Name
- Your Mailing Address
- Your Email Address
- Your Phone Number
- Photo Subject
- Date Photo Taken
- Location
- Camera
- Telescope
- Mount
- Other equipment used
- Exposure(s): e.g. 15 x 30 sec.
- Processing
- Notes
When you submit your astrophoto to us in this manner, you will receive an automatic email asking you to agree to the terms of the "Imaginova Corp. Publishing Agreement For Photograph" which appears below. Simply follow the instructions in that email to finalize the submission of your astrophoto. Please add starshootgallery@telescope.com to your email program's white list and/or address book to ensure you receive this email.
Please note that submission does not guarantee inclusion in our galleries, printed catalogs, national advertisements, etc.
Imaginova Corp. Publishing Agreement For Photograph
By submitting your photo to us, you warrant and represent that you control the copyright in the material you submit, and you indemnify and hold us harmless against any and all allegations or claims of copyright infringement with respect thereto, and any related suits and/or judgments, including related costs and attorneys' fees. You relinquish all exclusive copyright privileges to the material you submit and you grant Imaginova Corp. the non-exclusive right to publish your photos in perpetuity in all forms and in all media, whether now known or hereafter invented. You acknowledge that Imaginova Corp. has the authority to decide to display your submissions or not, at our discretion.
