The popular tabletop StarBlast 6i Intelliscope Reflector Telescope is now available with additional accessories to enhance your viewing experience!

Sky & Tel Hot Product 2009This portable 6" f/5.0 reflector telescope comes with Orion's exclusive IntelliScope computerized object location system, allowing night sky newbies to pinpoint hundreds, even thousands of astronomical objects with pushbutton ease. The StarBlast 6i is the most compact and portable computerized 6" reflector telescope on the market. Even beginners can quickly locate any of 14,000+ celestial objects with the easy-to-use handheld locator. You'll see more celestial delights in one evening than you ever imagined!

The StarBlast 6i's 150mm diameter parabolic primary mirror gathers plenty of light to reveal the planets and deep-sky gems in amazing detail. The Moon shines bright in the StarBlast 6i, revealing crisp details of lunar craters, mountains and valleys.

The StarBlast 6i IntelliScope ships with a fully assembled base and weighs just 23.5 lbs. The small, lightweight form allows the telescope to be used on a sturdy table, the hood of a car, the landing of an outdoor stairway, or any other suitable flat surface. Robust construction including non-stick PTFE bearings and adjustable altitude tension on the base ensures smooth maneuvering of the StarBlast 6i.

The Orion StarBlast 6i IntelliScope reflector comes equipped with a host of great accessories, so you'll be ready to view in style as soon as the telescope is delivered to your doorstep including:

Take a "push-to" tour of the heavens with the included IntelliScope Object Locator.

The StarBlast 6i IntelliScope's Object Locator hand controller will tell you exactly where to point the telescope to see any of over 14,000 celestial objects within its database. Simply select the object you wish to view using the IntelliScope controller's menu buttons, then follow the directional arrows on the controller's display screen to aim the telescope right at the desired object. Or, you can press the Tour button to select one of 12 tours of the best objects visible in any given month.

Use the Orion MoonMap 260 to learn more about the lunar features you see in the telescope.

With locations and names of over 260 features on the Moon such as craters, mountains, valleys, "seas" and more, the included Orion MoonMap 260 is a great tool for beginning astronomers. This detailed map will even show you where various spacecraft have landed on the Moon's surface! The whole family will enjoy looking at the Moon with the telescope, then using the MoonMap 260 to learn the names of the craters and other features observed.

The Orion 1.25" 13% Transmission Moon Filter reduces glare so you can see more lunar detail and surface features with your telescope.

Metal filter cell threads directly into the 1.25" barrel of your telescope eyepiece. Telescope eyepiece filter transmits only 13% of the incoming light, boosting contrast and ability to discern detail on the Moon. Perfectly neutral color will not alter the natural color of the Moon.

Learn the location of constellations, bright stars, and many deep-sky objects such as nebulas, galaxies, and star clusters.

Simply dial in the date and time across the top, and Star Target shows you the sky overhead. A perfect accessory and great learning tool for use with your telescope, binocular, or even unaided eyes

Double the power of any 1.25" telescope eyepiece with the Shorty Barlow Lens.

A great way to essentially double the number of telescope eyepieces in your collection, without having to buy twice as many eyepieces! Very compact - just 3" long (half the length of a standard Barlow lens). Doublet lens system is multi-coated for excellent transmission and the internal housing is baffled to eliminate unwanted reflections and increase contrast.

Easily read star charts, look inside your accessory case, or find your way around the telescope in the dark with the RedBeam Mini LED flashlight.

Very compact size - can easily fit in a pocket. Will not harm your night vision like a white flashlight can.

Masterfully engineered for reliable performance and easy point-and-view maneuverability, the StarBlast 6i IntelliScope Astro Telescope truly is a high-tech telescope with a low-tech, non-intimidating feel. You and your family will have a blast using it!

NOTE: The StarBlast 6i IntelliScope Reflector base arrives pre-assembled in its shipping box. Partial disassembly and reassembly of the base is required for installation of the IntelliScope encoders and components. Complete instructions are included.
