The Meade 12" f/10 Losmandy Dovetail Rail Assembly is a telescope and accessory attachment rail made of machined and anodized aluminum. It's useful for an older 12" f/10 ACF optical tube that did not come with dovetail mounting rails. Another application for this rail assembly is when "de-forking" the optical tube from, say, an LX90 or LX200 fork mount for use instead on an equatorial mount that has a compatible Losmandy-style dovetail saddle. Installing the rail assembly on the bottom of the optical tube in the factory drilled and tapped holes allows this easy conversion. Can also be used on top of the optical tube as a second mounting dovetail system to hold accessories, such as a camera or guide scope.

Designed and Manufactured in North America, the rail assembly includes a pair of aluminum radius blocks that fit the outer contour of the 12" ACF optical tube and provide a flat attachment surface for the dovetail rail. Not compatible with f/8 ACF models.
