Introducing the newest member in our portable StarBlast refractor lineup - the StarBlast 102mm Altazimuth Travel Refractor! With 28% greater light gathering power than its 90mm counterpart, the StarBlast 102mm Altazimuth Travel Refractor delivers big resolution, whether you're plumbing the night sky for celestial treasures or observing a scenic mountainscape in daytime.

For the beginning telescope user or family looking for a capable telescope that is as easy to take on trips as it is to use right from home, the StarBlast 102mm Altazimuth Travel Refractor Telescope is hard to beat. It is a quality 102mm achromatic refractor telescope outfitted with a full-length stainless steel tripod and two-way pan head as well as a host of great accessories -- all of which fit neatly into a rugged carry case for convenient transport and storage.

The StarBlast 102mm Altazimuth Travel Refractor Telescope features a fully antireflection multi-coated 102mm (4") achromatic lens system with a 600mm focal length (f/5.9) for vivid images of distant subjects. For stargazing, this telescope will reveal outstanding views of the Moon's surface, Saturn's rings, Jupiter's cloud bands, and scores of deep-sky nebulas and star clusters.

The 1.25" rack-and-pinion focuser ensures your observing target will snap into sharp focus effortlessly. Instead of a standard "star diagonal," which shows a mirror-reversed image, the StarBlast 102 comes with a correct-image 90-degree diagonal that provides a correctly oriented view - a must for terrestrial observation. The included 25mm (24x) and 10mm (60x) Plossl eyepieces are a giant leap in quality above the lower-end eyepieces that come with most competing telescopes. That means you'll get sharper, higher-contrast views with the StarBlast 102mm Altazimuth Travel Refractor! Of course, you can purchase additional 1.25" telescope eyepieces and/or a 2x Barlow lens to give you even more magnification options if desired. And the eyepieces' 1.25" barrels are threaded to accept optional Orion 1.25" filters. Also included is a red-dot finder scope, which makes it easy to zero in on targets of interest.

The super sturdy, extendable tripod is made of stainless steel and has a center brace for added rigidity. A convenient accessory tray fastens onto the center brace with a simple twist-lock mechanism. The two-axis pan head provides easy, smooth control of the telescope via the pan handle.

And everything fits neatly inside the rugged carrying case, which has a divider to separate the optical tube from the tripod. A small zippered accessory pouch holds the eyepieces, diagonal, and finder scope. The telescope case sports both hand straps and a shoulder strap, so it's ready to travel whenever you hit the road or the hiking trail. And if all that weren't enough, we also include Orion's MoonMap 260. It will help you identify some 260 of the most popular lunar surface features including craters, mountain ranges, valleys, rilles, "seas" and more!

The StarBlast 102mm Altazimuth Travel Refractor is a serious telescope that's seriously fun to use for the whole family! And you can use it anywhere because it packs up conveniently to go where you go. Get yours today!
