The Orion Binocular Tripod L-Adapter allows you to securely couple a pair fo binoculars to the tripod head of photographic or field tripods. Especially useful with large astronomy binoculars, this L-adapter will save your shoulders and arms from holding heavy binoculars up to your eyes when observing the night sky or the horizon. The L-adapter features a plastic knob for threading the captive 1/4"-20 bolt into the threaded bridge socket of any binocular equipped with a tripod receptacle.

Attaching binoculars to a tripod is preferred when stargazing, since the tripod provides welcome hands-free support of the binoculars. This is especially useful when stargazing with heavier astronomy binoculars so you save your arms and shoulders from strain.
