Featuring a large reflector optical tube with a 750mm focal length and moderate f/5.0 focal ratio, the versatile StarSeeker IV 150mm Reflector collects a ton of light with its 6" aperture, parabolic reflecting optics for very bright, wide-field views. The entire telescope setup weighs 22.3 lbs. for easy transport, whether you're heading down the road or just out to the backyard. Following a simple two-star alignment process, the Orion StarSeeker IV 150mm telescope can guide you to interesting sights on any clear night with its GoTo database of over 42,000 objects. The telescope includes 23mm (32.6x) and 10mm (75x) wide-field 60-degree eyepieces, and an EZ Finder II sight for easy aiming. Once the StarSeeker IV 150mm GoTo Reflector locates a celestial target, the single-arm altazimuth mount's internal motors will automatically track the object's apparent motion and keep it centered so you can enjoy the view as long as you wish.

7.17" ID Orion Full Aperture Glass Solar Filter

Attach this Full Aperture Glass Solar Filter to the StarSeeker IV 150mm GoTo Reflector telescope to enjoy completely safe views of the Sun. Orion glass solar filters display the Sun in a natural yellow-orange color. The glass filter elements are machine-polished and triple-coated with an advanced nickel-chromium stainless steel alloy for a scratch-resistant surface. The filter passes only a fraction of the incoming light, rejecting harmful ultraviolet and infrared radiation. Each Orion telescope solar filter includes three equidistant thumbscrews, 4x 1/16" thick adhesive foam tabs, and 4x 1/8" thick adhesive foam tabs for customized friction fit to your telescope. A tight press fit is required for safe solar viewing.

The threaded filter is easy to install on the included 23mm and 10mm eyepieces.

The Orion StarSeeker IV 150mm GoTo Reflector Sun & Moon Kit also includes an Orion Shorty 2x Barlow Lens, Orion MoonMap 260 and a handy AC-to-DC power adapter. Use the versatile Shorty 2x Barlow to double the magnifying power of any 1.25" eyepiece. The included Orion MoonMap 260 is a useful reference map of the Moon's surface that will help the whole family learn the names and locations of more than 260 craters, mountains, valleys, "seas" and other interesting lunar features you can explore with your telescope.
