The Orion BX90 EQ 90mm mid-size refractor telescope is a great choice for serious beginners.

The wide-field optics of the BX90 EQ Refractor makes it easier to find objects in the night sky compared to longer telescopes. The refractor's substantial 90mm (3.54") objective lens collects much more light than typical starter scopes for brighter, more pleasing performance on a wide variety of interesting celestial objects.

Use the included 25mm Kellner for wide views at 24x magnification, and boost magnifying power up to 60x with the 10mm Plössl eyepiece when you want to take a closer look. The Orion BX90 EQ Refractor Telescope also includes a 90° star diagonal for comfortable nighttime viewing and a red-dot sight to help aim the telescope. The included Moon Map and Moon Filter will enhance your lunar viewing experience, and the Barlow Lens will double the power of your included 1.25? eyepieces. The Orion Star Target Planisphere will help you learn the location of popular celestial objects.

Once assembled, the entire BX90 EQ weighs 15.5 lbs. for easy portability.

With locations and names of over 260 features on the Moon such as craters, mountains, valleys, "seas" and more, the included Orion MoonMap 260 is a great tool for beginning astronomers. This detailed map will even show you where various spacecraft have landed on the Moon's surface! The whole family will enjoy looking at the Moon with the telescope, then using the MoonMap 260 to learn the names of the craters and other features observed.

The Orion 1.25" 13% Transmission Moon Filter reduces glare so you can see more lunar detail and surface features with your telescope.

Metal filter cell threads directly into the 1.25" barrel of your telescope eyepiece. Telescope eyepiece filter transmits only 13% of the incoming light, boosting contrast and ability to discern detail on the Moon. Perfectly neutral color will not alter the natural color of the Moon.

Double the power of any 1.25" telescope eyepiece with the Orion Shorty Barlow Lens

Doublet lens system is multi-coated for excellent transmission and the internal housing is baffled to eliminate unwanted reflections and increase contrast. Threaded for use with 1.25" Orion telescope eyepiece filters.

Simply dial in the date and time across the top, and Star Target shows you the sky overhead. Designed for use within 30-degree North and 50-degree North latitudes regardless of calendar year - shows locations of 100 star clusters, nebulas and galaxies for viewing with binoculars or telescope.
