The entire refractor telescope setup, including field tripod, two eyepieces, 45° diagonal, and EZ Finder II reflex sight fits in the custom-designed backpack, making the GoScope 70 an ideal grab-and-go refractor you can take virtually anywhere. It excels for daytime birding, nature study, and scenic long-distance viewing, and can also take you on visual adventures beyond the Earth’s horizon after sunset for some casual nighttime stargazing and Moon-watching.

The affordable Orion GoScope 70 Backpack Refractor Telescope features a 70mm achromatic lens system for high-resolution images of distant subjects. The included 45° correct-image prism diagonal provides a bright, correctly oriented daytime view for easy tracking of birds and wildlife in motion. Two included 1.25” Kellner eyepieces provide a variety of magnifications right out of the box. The included 20mm eyepiece provides a 17x power image, while the shorter focal length 10mm eyepiece yields 35x power views.

You can aim the GoScope 70mm backpack refractor telescope easily thanks to the included Orion EZ Finder II reflex sight. After a quick alignment process, all you have to do is place the EZ Finder II’s small red-dot on the area or object you want to see through the GoScope refractor and it will appear in the telescope eyepiece.  

Setting up the GoScope refractor takes only a few seconds thanks to a quick-release shoe feature on its retractable aluminum tripod. The tripod itself has been upgraded to provide smoother motion and a wider, more stable stance while still remaining compact and light. An integrated bubble-level on the tripod lets you know the GoScope is stable, and a three-way pan head allows smooth, easy pointing of the 70mm refractor.
