The Orion SkyView Pro 100ED GoTo Apochromatic Refractor Telescope is a complete equatorial observing package featuring the ED100 apochromatic refractor optical tube assembly paired with the venerable SkyView Pro equatorial mount/tripod, now with GoTo computerized control — at an unprecedented low price.
The "ED100" delivers astrophotos remarkably free of chromatic aberration, thanks to its fully multi-coated 100mm objective doublet. It's crafted with one element of FPL-53 extra-low dispersion (ED) optical glass from Japan. The 100mm aperture gives it 56% greater light grasp than our ED80. And the 900mm focal length (f/9.0) excels at visual planetary and lunar study and imaging work as well.
The new GoTo hand controller powers the optical system to any of 13,400+ celestial objects in the GoTo database. Bright ED optics, rock-solid mount and GoTo computerized control. This telescope packs a lot of performance for the price!
For owners of the SkyView Pro EQ GoTo Mount whose version of the GoTo hand controller is 3.0 or greater, the GoTo hand controller's firmware can be updated over the internet.
