The Orion 10x50 WA Binoculars (WA for Wide Angle) will provide great images of both the night sky and the distant landscapes, all for a very affordable price. Say you're new to the astronomy hobby, and want to try it out first without investing a lot of money in expensive equipment. The 10x50 WA is a great way to get started without breaking the bank. And they double as a great companion when traveling, hiking, or just simply looking out the window at the distant landscape views around you.

These binoculars provide 10x magnification, more power than the typical 7x50 or 8x42 binoculars, which means everything will look larger in the field of view, with more resolution than a lower power binocular. The 50mm objective lenses collect over 50 times the amount of light that your eye pull in, so these binoculars work very well in low light conditions, both for twilight terrestrial viewing as well as gazing at large deep-sky objects such as the Orion Nebula or the Andromeda Galaxy.

The reason these are called the 10x50 WA is the fantastic wide angle field of view they produce. Most 10x50 binoculars have a 5 or 6 degree field, but these round out at a full 7 degree circular field of view! That means less panning around in search of your target, and larger star clusters or other deep-sky objects are framed quite nicely in the field of vision with some extra background sky around the objects for heightened contrast and composition.

These binoculars weigh a modest 1.7 lbs. and can be hand-held comfortably for stargazing or daytime use. They also feature a threaded tripod adapter port for those times when you want to attach the binoculars to a tripod for added stability. The Orion 10x50 WA binoculars include a soft carry case and lens caps.
