Protect your corrector plate from dew and unwanted sources of ambient light. This dew shield is padded to protect your telescope's finish and flocked on the inside with a soft, textured material to prevent light scatter and reflections. It dramatically reduces the formation of dew on the corrector plate on cold and humid nights, obviating the need to use a cloth or hair dryer to dry off the glass. And, of course, unlike a dew heater band, the Flexible Dew Shield does not require battery power!

As the name implies, the Flexible Dew Shield is made of a durable, flexible plastic that fastens snugly around the front cell of the optical tube with a sewn-in hook-and-loop strip. It won't crack or break like hard dew shields can. Moreover, it can be stored flat or rolled up. Its dimensions when flat are 15" x 57.1".

This model fits 14" and 16" Meade Advanced Coma Free telescopes as well as the older Meade Schmidt-Cassegrains.
