I bought this for a 10" f4.5 Meade reflector. It doesn't have the dovetail base for the finder. so i can't easily remove the finder for transport. I have to leave it a little unzipped at the top so the finder sticks out. But that isn't Orion's fault. I have to say the case is an excellent value for both protecting the 'scope, and ease of carrying it out to my back yard.
Favorite viewing location:??Well ... most common is my back yard. but there are light pollution problems.
Favorite object to observe:??I like open clusters.

I livve in an urban area that requires me to transport my new scope. I of course want to protect my investment. This case is made for the Orion Altas EQ-G 10 and I an very plaesed with the protection it provides. Well worth the investment.

I purchased this case for my 10" Zhumell Dobsonian. I was a bit worried that it may not fit in the length, but the length of the case is perfect. The diameter of the case is a bit larger than necessary, but it allows plenty of room for the finder scope, Telrad, etc. The case is very well constructed, the outside material is very tough as are the carry straps. An excellent case.
