Use the SkyLine Deluxe Green Laser Pointer as a high-tech aiming device for your telescope with the complete Orion SkyLine Deluxe Green Laser Pointer & Telescope Bracket package. Using a green laser pointer like the Orion SkyLine Deluxe as a telescope aiming device eliminates the need to bend and contort your body and neck to peer through a small finder scope eye lens or reflex sight viewing window. You’ll be more comfortable as you aim your telescope easily with the help of the SkyLine Deluxe Green Laser Pointer’s thin, green beam of light.

Once the SkyLine Deluxe pointer and bracket are calibrated with the telescope via a simple alignment procedure, all you have to do is maneuver the telescope until the laser beam is pointing to the area of night sky you’d like to explore through the telescope, and you’re set! You’ll be able to see the area of sky the SkyLine is pointing to in your telescope eyepiece. 

This complete package includes the Orion SkyLine Deluxe Green Laser Pointer, a On/Off button collar with a thumbscrew, and a two-ring ABS dovetail bracket for the pointer with spring-loaded X-Y adjustment capabilities. The Orion SkyLine Deluxe laser pointer’s <5mW green beam works in light-polluted or moonlit skies just as well as crystal-clear skies in remote locations. The On/Off collar allows you to keep the laser pointer powered for brief periods while aiming the telescope, by twisting the thumbscrew until it depresses the pointer’s power button. Don’t forget to power-off the SkyLine before you view! The ABS dual-ring dovetail bracket is compatible with most Orion telescope finder scope bases right out of the box, and extra dovetail mounting bases are available (sold separately) for attachment to non-Orion telescopes. The intuitive spring-loaded X-Y adjustment of the bracket enables quick calibration of the laser pointer with the telescope.

Two AAA batteries are included for powering the SkyLine Deluxe Green Laser Pointer.

CAUTION: Always use the Skyline Deluxe Green Laser Pointer responsibly! Never aim it anywhere near people, animals, moving vehicles, aircraft, or windows.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Remember to power-off the laser pointer once you’ve completed aiming the telescope at you target celestial object by loosening the ON/Off collar thumbscrew before you observe through the attached telescope, to both prolong battery life and avoid unintentional pointing of the laser at passing aircraft, animals, etc.
