I have always been interested in visualizing solar system objects. I never could properly align or guide my scopes so I decided to join my local Astronomy club (SFAAA). When I went out for the first outting I saw so many members imaging and after seeing what they were capturing I was hooked. I immediately purchased an Orion ED, which was used by several members, and an Atlas mount. I was told the mount was the most important piece of equipment to purchase since that was your foundation and my mentor told me the Atlas was the way to go. In South Florida there is not many "Dark" places to go so we always venture to some spot in the everglades to spend a few hours with the mosquitos and enjoy the Milkyway.
