Orion Short Tube (early non ED version)
Old Velbon camera tripod
Olympus Pen EPL-1 Processing: 6 images stacked using Registax-6, and adjusted in Photoshop 7 Exposure: 1/250 sec, F/5.6 (Orion Short Tube aperture), ISO 200 Other Equipment Used: Orion T-mount adapter for Nikon, Nikon to Olympus Om adapter, Om to Micro 4:3 adapter. Notes:
This is my first successful Registax processing attempt that was successful. I like a strong image with full tonal range, and good resolution. The image was processed with this in mind.
Astro-images taken through a telescope on a tracking mount provide breathtaking color and detail that you just can't see with your eyes alone. The astro-images on our web site demonstrate the imaging capabilities of the products used and are not intended to represent what you will see when you look through a telescope.
An upgraded version of the ShortTube 80, the 80-A is very portable and is perfect for the beginning astronomer. Wide field of view makes it ideal for deep sky viewing. The refractor optical tube attaches easily to any Orion telescope mount.
