Since then, I've turned to Orion for my telescopes and accessories. One of my best techniques for observing is sketching. I believe that you can see much more detail in objects if you take the time to sketch them. I own and maintain an astronomy blog.
This is a great beginner telescope for all ages. The sturdy tripod and Altazimuth mount allow easy movement and tracking for daytime and nighttime viewing. The 70mm allows you to see objects brighter and in more detail than the 60mm.
