Apple iPhone 4 Processing: Levels Exposure: 1 frame from video recording Other Equipment Used: 9mm eyepiece + 2x Barlow Lens; Afocal Adapter for iPhone Notes: Apple camera app. Taking videos with the iPhone can be beneficial. If you like to do "imaging stacking,” you get a lot of frames to work with. I prefer to just look for the best single frame, throwing out the ones blurred by touching the phone to start/stop the recording and from atmospheric distortion. Also, there is some additional magnification applied when doing video recording vs the single image photo mode.
The SteadyPix iPhone adapter securely couples any iPhone to a 1.25" eyepiece so you can take high-magnification pictures through the telescope with the iPhone's built-in camera. Lets you use your iPhone as a mini telescope display monitor!
The Orion Shorty Barlow Lens doubles the power of any telescope eyepiece. It has a multi-coated lens that lets in more light and allows you to enjoy higher-power, sharper images without eye strain.
