Our redesigned Medium Orion Deluxe Accessory Case is more durable than ever. Made from super-tough high-impact plastic, the smooth, black finish resists dings, dents, and other blemishes better than aluminum-clad cases.

You can feel the quality in this case. You'll appreciate the strong dual hinges in back and the sturdy spring latches in front. The hinged carrying handle provides a sure grip. A removable, adjustable shoulder strap makes it easy to carry, even when fully loaded. The case also has locking latches, with keys provided.

Inside you'll find egg-crate foam on top and die-cut spaces in the main compartment, just the right sizes to hold your "jewels" safely and securely.

This Medium Orion Deluxe Accessry Case holds eight standard size 1.25" telescope eyepieces plus it has additional bins for sundry accessories. Internal dimensions: 12.2" x 8.3" x 5.5".

I got the Medium Case to hold my accessories ( eyepieces, filters, etc..) I quickly realized that if you have a goto scope A/C adapter and Autoguider camera this case is too small. I purchased the Larger case later. The large case holds my eyepieces, 2 inch barlow, filters, Autoguider camera, and DSLR accessories ( t-rings, prime focus Adapters, etc..). I cut out some of the foam in my medium case to store all my cables (usb, usb extension, laser collimater, serial cable for goto, and A/C adapter for goto. These cases are very nice and look good. I haven't messed with the locks. Some reviews say the locks are cheap and maybe they are a little on the skimpy side, but do you really need to lock up your stuff?? My Medium case has become my setup case and my Large holds all my viewing/Astrophoto stuff.

My case just came in today, and though I haven't had a chance to use it out in the field yet, it seems to be another great product from Orion. It holds up to eight 1.25mm eyepieces, and has five other departments for miscellaneous items. Seems to be pretty sturdy and well made. This is what keeps me coming back to Orion, quality products at low prices. Thanks Orion.

This is indeed a deluxe case - a deluxe ripoff. I've seen better latches on toys. The right-side latch wouldn't even lock. The key bent in it on first try. I've purchased many things from Orion and their products are generally of fine quality. Why Orionchooses to continue blissfully selling these worthless cases is up to them. I'm not saying I won't purchase from Orion again but there's a good possibility they will lose thousands of dollars in potential sales from me. There's no excuse for continuing to sell these toys under the guise of "deluxe" cases, especially at such inflated prices.

Good protection, if a bit spendy

I have hesitated buying this case for a long time because it's not cheap, but finally sprang for it as an improvement over my nylon-denier rucksack. I was right -- it's not cheap (contrary to what some reviewers have said). It's not a Samsonite, but it doesn't feel flimsy or insubstantial either. It's still light enough to carry after loading in my flashlight, 4 eyepieces, Barlow, sundries, and filters. The sides do not flex, and the foam padding is very generous. There's enough give that I can set my filter case down flat on top and close the without forcing the latches or tweaking the mechanisms or hinges. (I could also just manage to close it with the filter case in one of the slots on edge, but after experimenting a bit, flat on top seemed the way to go.) Very happy with the purchase, though (as always) I wish shipping didn't add quite so much to the total price. This case will grow with me for a long time.
