The blower bulb is what you are really paying for. The rest is OK but not real special. It is a bit pricey if you consider the blower is the main thing you are buying.

I picked one of these kits up for the price alone. It???s a no Brainer; you have to keep your Eyepieces and lenses clean. This basic starter kit is almost, all you???ll need. I say ???almost??? because I felt the need to recommend the Orion cleaning brush as well. (for getting into Barlows, Binoculars; anything with a reach to it) With proper cleansing solution, (not eyeglass cleaner) fine lens tissues, and an Air bulb; (best way to de-humidify your eye pieces) It???s a Bargain. It???s a Must Have. (Did I mention the Air Bulb is far better then the ???poly vinyl types???? Lots of pressure! Thanks Orion, and ???Clear Eye Pieces???!
Favorite viewing location:??Back Yard, when possible away from the City.
Favorite object to observe:??Everything! (Star Clusters, Nebula, and yes; Everything else out there!)
Pros: economical, most everything you'll need, add life to your equipment
Cons: none

A blower bulb is important

While the five Q-tips and lens tissues really aren't anything to write home about, I consider this kit worth buying for the bulb blower. It allows a quick gross cleaning of an optical surface without introducing new particles like saliva or "canned air gunk". This is important since you don't want to end up smearing anything around once you move on to cleaning with a swab.
