This compact 60mm apochromatic refractor telescope from Tele Vue elegantly combines high-performance optics with convenient portability.

Measuring just 10” long with a weight of approximately 3 pounds, this refractor telescope optical tube assembly (OTA) boasts 60mm apochromatic doublet optics with a fast f/6.0 focal ratio. Use any 1.25” telescope eyepiece (sold separately) in the Tele Vue-60’s two-stage 1.25” focuser which features a quick-focus drawtube and helical fine-focus adjustment for dialing in subtle details in your observations. A sliding dew shield can be extended to prevent glare and dew accumulation, or retracted for enhanced portability. 

The Tele Vue-60 apochromatic refractor telescope provides a 4.3° true field of view, so it’s ideal for both nighttime celestial observations and daytime terrestrial views. The 60mm telescope can be used with either an 1.25” 90° mirror diagonal, or an 1.25” 45° correct-image diagonal (both sold separately) for optimized comfort and view orientation. Apochromatic optics ensures high quality views, day or night, with outstanding color correction. This little refractor telescope can also be used to achieve great astrophotography results with CCD astrophotography cameras featuring a 1.25” nosepiece, or with DLSR cameras. Additional adapters may be required for use with DSLR cameras or CCD imaging cameras without a 1.25” nosepiece. 

Along with the 60mm apochromatic doublet refractor telescope, you also get Tele Vue’s adjustable dovetail mounting and balance bar, an objective lens cap, and a soft Tele Vue carrying bag with drawstring.

The included captive dovetail mounting and balance bar allows the Tele Vue-60 telescope to be attached to a number of tripods and mounts, including any field photo tripod with a ¼”-20 threaded post, and many altazimuth and equatorial mount models (tripods and/or mounts sold separately).
