Orion Atlas 10 EQ-G Reflector Telescope with GoTo Controller
Nikon D3s Processing: Photoshop CS6 Exposure: 2 Exposures (1 at 1/3200sec 1 at 1/2000sec) Notes: This is an image of the full moon on April 25, 2013 using the Orion Atlas 10" Reflector with GoTo Mount. The image is a composition of 2 bracketed shots to bring out the contrast of the darks and highlights on the lunar surface. The color comes from boosting individual saturation channels in photoshop to produce an image that is closer to the moons actual color.
Astro-images taken through a telescope on a tracking mount provide breathtaking color and detail that you just can't see with your eyes alone. The astro-images on our web site demonstrate the imaging capabilities of the products used and are not intended to represent what you will see when you look through a telescope.
A great telescope for the advanced observer or astrophotographer, the Orion Atlas 10 EQ-G GoTo is good for viewing faint details or taking pictures of most celestial objects. The GoTo mount can locate over 42,000 objects and track them automatically.
