Parsec 8300M Monochrome Astronomical Imaging Camera Exposure: 8 - Ha (30 Minute Frames) 1st night, 11-OIII (30 Minute Frames) 2nd Night Other Equipment Used: Orion Nautilus 2" Filter Wheel, Orion 2" Ha Filter, Orion 2" OIII Filter, Orion Accu-Focus (Mod), Orion Rockstable Mount Pads,Orion Starshoot autoguider, Orion 80MM F/11.4 Guide Scope, Orion Ultrascopic 5mm Illuminated Eyepiece (Used for alignment), Orion Dew Zapper System, Televue TRF-2008 Notes: Combined image of two types of processing. The Red Crescent Nebula was developed by creating a synthetic green and the Ha nebula was created using a Selective Color technique. Combining both images into one I felt looked the best. The OIII stack wasn't tracking very well, the second night I selected a different guide star and it resulted in football stars.
If you're looking for a heavy duty GoTo mount for all your observing or astrophotography needs, the Orion Atlas EQ-G computerized GoTo telescope mount is perfect. It supports up to 40lbs and finds over 42,900 celestial objects with pushbutton ease.
The Orion Nautilus Motorized 2" Filter Wheel allows you to load up to 4 filters and then use the control software to change filters automatically. A great time saver for RGB and LRGB astrophotography with monochrome cameras.
Have you wanted to view the Horsehead, California, and Cocoon nebulas? This 2" Orion Hydrogen-Beta Nebula Telescope Filter blocks everything but the light these faint nebulas emit, providing the contrast needed for viewing these elusive nebulas.
The Orion StarShoot is an easy-to-use, affordable autoguider for long-exposure astrophotography. Plug it into an autoguider port on your mount and let it do the work for you. It comes with the software and cables needed to work right out of the box!
A perfect focal reducer and field flattener for refractor telescopes in the 400-600mm focal length range coupled with a DSLR or other CCD camera. Helps eliminate distorted stars at the edge of the field, and features fully multi-coated lenses.
These Orion RockStable Anti-Vibration Pads dampen vibrations transmitted through your tripod legs so you get much more stable images through your binoculars or telescope. Comes as a set of 3.
